I'm An Official Yarn Tester! - Part 1

I was privileged enough to be asked by Michelle (aka woolylove on Ravelry) who is the owner of the indie yarn dying company Dancing Dog Dyeworks to be the official yarn tester for her new line of bulky yarn called Big Dog!  Michelle was even awesome enough to let me pick out and color(s) that I wanted it to be! I replied instantly with LIME! I've had the hardest time finding a true bright lime.

I can't even begin to express the excitement I had when she told me it had been sent and would be arriving in a couple days. But nothing could compare to the excitement I had when I opened up my package this afternoon and saw this!

It's gorgeous!!! I couldn't love the color more if I wanted to! The colorway was even named after me- "Retro Lemon's Lime"! The deal was- I woud be sent 200 yards of whatever color bulky yarn I wanted to make whatever Danger Craft monster I wanted to, in exchange that I give a full report, good or bad, of what I thought about the yarn along with how it knits up and include a photo shoot of the monster.

I immediately got the yarn on the yarn swift and wound it up, and cast on Petunia the Patio Monster from Rebecca Danger's Big Book of Monsters. The yarn so far is so soft and squishy, and I can't wait to see it all knitted up, stuffed, and assembled- which will be Part 2 ;o)
