Socktastic Summer & Monster Mania 2 - July

I am really LOVING my yarn clubs!!! Both of them are from Dancing Dog Dyeworks. This is the second month for Socktastic Summer and the first month for Monster Mania 2.

This month's sock yarn is Jive Sock which is 80% SW merino, 10% cashmere, and 10% nylon, and let me tell you, it's super soft! The colorway is Hocus Pocus, and while I'm not a huge fan of pinks and purples, you should have heard the "Squee" that came out of my daughter when I took it out of the package! So, needless to say, I am going to make something special for her out of it.

Monster Mania 2 on the other hand is right up my ally! This months colorway Monster In My Kitchen/Fruit Salad has me SO excited! It is so bright and colorful, and really looks like a big bowl of chopped up fruit. I'm a big lover of worsted weight yarn, and with Waltz Worsted being 100% superwash merino, it's my all time favorite! I'd use it and nothing else if I could.

I can honestly say that my pics do NOT do the colors of the yarn justice! The colors are so vibrant and beautiful! No other yarn company or dyer has been able to capture colors the way DDD has. Now I can't wait to see what next month brings!

My Etsy store is OPEN!

I had an exciting experience today! I was out with a friend having a girls day, and all of a sudden I hear someone say "Hey! You need to update your blog!". When I turned and looked it was Christina, the girl from the closest LYS to me! I have to admit that it excited me know know that there was someone out there who really enjoyed reading what I have to say. I don't know Christina very well, but every time I stop into Studio Knit she's always friendly and helpful! I hope to get to know her better in the future, and wish that I lived closer to the LYS to make more knitting friends. So Christina, here you go! I'll try to be better about blogging in the future, thanks for modivating me!

I am SO excited to announce the opening of my Etsy store Little Green Stars! I have to admit that I've thought about doing it for 2 years, but I've been too chicken. I've sold locally in boutiques and farmer's markets, but thanks to my friend Michelle I finally sucked it up and put myself out there.

For right now I'm starting small. Small Sock Project Bags that is! They are in my opinion perfect! Not too big, not too small, and are in fun and colorful prints. There are 8" tall, 10" wide when flat, with a 5"x5" bottom. They have a cord lock to keep them closed, a padded bottom to help them stand up and protect your needles, and are made out of 100% cotton!

I hope everyone will like them as much as I do! I was laid up with an injury recently, but I hope to get things back to normal soon. There will be a lot more fabric choices, other sizes, and more products to come!
